Hi there all people on FD1 im thinking about upgrading my case. i currently have the Lian-Li PC-Q08 case which is a small case to support a small motherboard, the fans in the case sound like an airplane starting( not really but theyre really loud ) and my cpu is getting very hot about 80-86 degrees Celsius(176-186 degrees F) i have currently no extra cpu fan so my cpu runs the stock one.

My specs are:

Intel Core i7 2600k (3.4ghz)

2x4 Gb RAM (im thinking about getting an 8x2)

and a full sized Asus Geforce 560 ti(modified nVidia card)

Im looking for a quiet case that give good support for cableing and gives good airflow, has to support fullsized graphics card. I may have to buy a new mother board( i have a mini atx one to fit my current case ) and i also need to find a cpu fan becuase mine is getting so warm please reply bye

Maybe you should just remove the insane amount of dust that's clogged in the CPU cooler and reapply the thermal paste.

Im looking for a silent case

Absolute silence doesn't exist unless you live in a vacuum. You must mean a quiet case.

Mini-ITX or Micro-ATX?

Hyper 212 EVO, it's pretty cheap and delivers good cooling performance.

please reply bye

And what's your budget?

I'd recommend the Coolermaster HAF 932 Advanced.

Hasn't let me down. Ever. But it's not cheap though, I got it for over 150€, but it's got lot's space, meaning it's a high-tower case, lot's of HDD slots, and a lot of space for PCI-E cards. Not to mention the air cooling is great, but you can also have watercooling with this case.

about 100-150 € and im not looking for absolute silence just not so it sounds like an airplane

Well, the case I recommended is pretty quiet, and I have 6 fans in total, excluding the CPU cooler. And I forgot to mention it looks badass.

Im thinking about getting the Fractal Design Define R4 is that case good?

Checked out some reviews. Doesn't seem to have the best cooling, imo.

But if it's at a good price point, I'd say get it. Looks nice and simple.

Cooler Master CM 690 II, €78, mostly price/performance. Not the quietest case, but it's really one of the best at that price point.

Corsair 500R, €94, similar features to the CM 690 II, comes with 4 fans and looks a bit better in my opinion.

Corsair 500D, €117, one of the best looking cases on the market in my opinion), has noise dampening foam on the side panels.

Cooler Master HAF 932/HAF X, €104/€128, very ugly, but seems to do a good job at being quiet.

Antec P280, €106, dust filters seem to be easy to remove in contrary to the CM 690 II, foam on the side panels.

Silverstone RV03B, €109, nothing really worth mentioning about it, except that the motherboard placement is odd and that it's quiet.

Silverstone FT02B/FT02S, €209, same as the RV03B, looks a bit better and is more expensive.

And think twice before buying a case, you're the one that has to look at it.
