Hello.

I have the "Server connection timed out" error. When I join a sever, normally it loads the map, I choose a team and 20 seconds later everything stops, and I get the "server connection timed out" error. Sometimes it doesn't even go to the map-load screen, and sometimes I can't even pick a team - goes straight to the error.

 

I have tried the fix in the Common Errors thread (time synchronizing), and I have searched around the forums and google. Nothing works.

I've also read that currently there isn't a fix for this. I've seen many people with this problem.

 

So if I can do something, please help, and if there isn't any way to fix this currently, will it ever exist?

Connecting to the same server again after you get the error apparently solves it. Worked for me. Found by SH!FTY[PT] <----

And yes, I've read lots of posts by both of you guys, and I created this thread to try and get this problem out there (no threads about this in the most recent pages).

The server might be offline currently/experiencing issues. Wait it out and try later.

that error happens to me too, but u can play normaly if u connect again to the same server after the error shows up, so, when error appears, u connect to the same server then it should appear the message "connecting..." a long time, wait 15 sec then press esc, connect to the same server again and u play fine, thats not a good fix but works....

That's actually true! It worked for me just now! We should see if more people with this problem can use this as a workaround. It's so simple too! Duh :b Nice one shifty.

If this works for more people then it's a simple but effective fix for this. It worked for me, and obviously for shifty!

Try to switch your NAT type to open that worked for me
