NEED HELP WITH DEMOS

hey guys, i think i messed up, and im not sure if i can fix it, or if it will even be a problem. I changed the default program to open demos to windows media center. will that affect my demos at all when i try to open them in the console? and if anyone knows if there is a way to get it back to the default file type that would be great. right now they are DM_13 files, unless those are the default ones
