if I start iw4m.exe and enter my credentials, the console opens and an error message appears:

"Error during initialization:

Fatal error (0xc0000005) at 0x693165e8."

The minidump points to steam.dll, which is overwritten by some patch we dont support, so either if you used a patch, go to the forum you got the patch from, or dont play.

Otherwise, if you did buy it, I suggest you run Windows update, and make sure all your graphic cards are up2date.

(someone correct me if im wrong...)

Allright thanks for your tips. Didn't work anyway, but I solved it:

 

1. Delete the steam.dll, so steam replaces it, on the next startup.

2. Apply all Windows Updates

3. !IMPORTANT! Run iw4m.exe as Admin, if you are using Win7

 

Could also be related to the fact, I am using a 64-bit system.
