hi all just wanted to ask about my mw2 game not showing the server browser tab when game is launched just the same as it looks with origenal steam version and yes i have used all the correct up to date files from the sticky page and followed tut step by step but still no server browser it just looks origenal when i know its suposed to look like the demo version of aIW2 pre release demo with the song and all that stuff but its not there please help thanks.

No, you didnt followed all the steps correctly. Make sure that you put the raw.iwd file in your /main folder or the you have a raw folder on your games directory.

No, there is a folder called "main", there are lots of files that ends with .iwd and you need to add the raw.iwd file to that folder.

i have but the file is a rar file i have renamed but nothing shall i extract files to the main file???

its a zip file thats the problem i think when on the tut its a .iwd file

Try downloading the file with Internet Explorer, your browser its messing with the file.

Downlaod this... raw.iwd

Navigate to C:\Program Files (might be x86)\steam\steamapps\common\modern warfare 2\main

Paste the raw.iwd inside of that folder.

If all else fails... Use this failsafe...

it just downloads as a zip ok i dont no why but i fixed it.

to any with same problem just extract all file to a new folder on desktop highlight all and use winrar to add to archive when box comes up with options tick zip file and name as raw.iwd and you will create a prefectly working raw.iwd file it worked for me thanks for help anyway guys.

im now getting inpure client error this sucks dosent matter how many time you tell me download this file its allways a zip and when i get it into .iwd format it gives me more bulls**t i am using internet explorer latest to date on windows 7 64bit and its coming to me as a zip file have uninstalled winrar and 7zip then download file and still dosent work yes i can get server browser now but cant play on them this is so bad

It doesn't download as a zip. Look at the actual file name. It's got an .iwd extension. By default, .iwd files probably are associated with Winzip, or Winrar, or whatever you use to open up .zip and .rar files. Just put the file in the "main" folder and you'll be fine.

thanks for the advice about the browser man installed firefox and it download in the right format thanks alot problem fixed i supose this can be closed now.

Try different browser, somebody already posted that IE would download it with wrong extension.
