Staff-only topics on each section

Опубликовано:

A couple of days ago, I wanted to remove a post from public view, but didn't want to delete it. I wanted to keep it for the record of that user's actions.

Also, if I have to ban or even warn a user for a post that must really be removed, (I get a lot of "you stupid brazilian" type posts from portuguese members) I won't keep a record of the reason why I warned that user, because I have to delete that post.

There was also a time when a user's first post was some spam in russian language, on the portuguese section. I obviously banned him right away, but couldn't keep a justification for the ban, since I had to delete that post.

When I tried to move a post, I noticed that I can only move it inside my section. Entire topics can go to the recycle, but not individual posts. So, a section's "recycle" topic would be really useful. Topics keep going to the recycle, like they do nowadays, but specific posts go inside that section's "recycle" topic.

The solution for this problem is just a small work around.

At first you have to split the post from the topic it was created in using the Split function which you can find in your MCP. As a follow up, move the splitted post which is "probably"(not sure) now a topic to the recycle bin.

That should work. I suggest creating a test topic and post a few replies in it to find out how the function works.
