Hey, i got mw3 with dlc's, and it is VERY laggy.

So i downloaded a speed optimiced config_mp.cfg and tried it.

 

It was an improvement, but not that big improvement.

I got my PC set for best performance

(Start -> rightclick computer -> properties -> Advanced systemsettings -> Advanced (tab) -> performance (subtab) -> settings)

I am also using game booster.

 

But still it lags, my mw2 ping was about 120, and my mw3 ping sometimes touches 600! (average is about 450-550).

 

I am on a laptop using wireless connection, but mw2 didn't lag, why should mw3 lag THIS bad then? (Expected it to lag more, but not this much more!)

 

Please help me reduce my ping/lag!

120 on IW4 is high. You may have a bad internet connection or a bad pc...

My laptop is bad, i know. But i used to play mw3 via steam earlier (before i was banned XD) and it worked fine! with about 150 ping.

That is the reason i am so confused, why would the ping go from 150 (steam) to 500 (4D1)!?

 

My laptop: MSI x370

 

Processor - AMD E-350

Processor clock speed - 1.6GHz

Memory - 4.00GB

Maximum memory - 4GB

Graphics Processor - AMD Radeon HD 6310

Graphics/video ports - VGA, HDMI

Graphics Memory - 384MB

 

It is not suiteable for gaming, i know... but why did it work fine BEFORE? I have done disk cleanup and disk defragment regularly...

 

I will try going to AMD's website and check for grapichs/video upgrades.

Actually, your laptop is good enough for IW5.

I used to have a HD 5450, and went with no problems, so that's not the problem.

4 gbs of ram are even too many...

The processor is a bit poor actually, but if you ran with no problems IW5 on steam, that's not the problem.

Tested (ww.speedtest.net)

Ping: 64ms

Download speed: 3.60 Mbps

Upload speed: 0.35 Mbps

That's not really what I call a good connection...

But ping is not that high either, duh.

I guess a tech support member may help you better than me, elseway, if you don't fix, I'd suggest to reinstall to another folder, redownload the installer of iw5 (is it even 1 mb? lol) and try to launch the game from there. Wait for better answers though, before reinstalling.

Just updated my graphics driver, will try playing some now... Be back with the results later...

By the way, I guess the drivers won't be your main problem.

Hey! Turned out you were WRONG! my grapichs driver was my main problem!

Updated id (174 mb update) and now i'm down from 500 ping to 150! Still not the best, but VERY much better! Thanks for all the help guys! 98% of the lag is gone!
