The game might import your steam profile friends....but you will have to wait until a proper friendlist is applied, that is, IF its applied.

well steam i if it searches from my 24/7 offline steam then yeah

and if it does take from steam then why does it change the players name to fd1 name

Its some kind of steam linking which somehow only detects people who have a 4D1 account, so I would imagine it will also show their 4D1 names.
