Hi my name is DDblamauci. First post here on the FD1 Forums. used to be quite active on the Alteriw forums though.

 

Anyway since moving to a different city and getting another ISP I have been having a heck off a lot off issues with IW5M.(don't have them with the steam version off modern warfare 3 though)

 

Anyway Step by Step;

 

1. I log in to IW5M. All is fine.

2. I click servers and join a low ping populated server.(says connecting starts loading map and I'm in. Still all is fine.)

3. I play a couple off seconds. Then something weird happens every single time, I die for instance or sometimes it just randomly happens. I lag out. Whenever I press TAB no one seems to be in the server any more and everyone is standing still repeating the same action over and over.

4. At that time i can still move for a bit and reload and stuff.

5. I get a error message stating the server connection timed out. and get kicked back to the main menu.

 

Here are my system specs: AMD Phenom II X4 B50@3.67 Ghz.(X4 B50= unlocked X2 550 for anyone wondering.)

Asus M5A99X-Evo AM3+ Mobo

Palit GTX260 core216 Superclocked.

Coolermaster Realpower 620 Watt PSU.

12 GB DDR3 1333Mhz Team-Elite.

 

Using onboard sound and Wifi usb.

 

Edit: Anyway I wanted to add i am already synching the time with time.windows.com(doesnt work for me)

I have the same problem, so far, no one has been able to tell me what to do.. I already made a thread about this Except I can't even get into a server other then my own.

Thing is I tried to search for my error message on the forums. It yielded a lot off incomprehensive forum posts and a lot off foreign posts which i just dont get.(ps i know NTA is dutch help a fellow dutchy out NTA:P)

 

I actually tried sifting through all the posts about this issue but it yielded for me only one possible solution: the synching time thingy,(which obviously I tried but didn't work)

 

That made me come to the action off making a well written forum post hoping that if it's clear what is happening to all of us having this issue makes it easier to fix for the devs.

Try #31 viewtopic.php?f=30&t=9515 You can add an exception to your firewall/antivirus/router. We know about the problem and it currently has no "official" fix. Sorry.

That issue is not related with windows time.

That issue is related with packet loss (firewall blocking)

The only time I ever seen that happening on a computer in front of me, was when it was connected to a router that didn't allow the firewall to be disabled. I brought that computer to my place and played fine. Went back with it to the guy's house and it was having the issue again. Since I couldn't open ports on that router, I couldn't find the port causing that specific problem.

I had it working fine before though, I am using the same router & everything.. Same ports.. Only thing that changed was my IPv4 from .114 to .103 but I port forwarded all my ports again through .103 to fix my server problems.. I disabled my internet firewall & my computers firewall.. Still doesn't work. Only thing different is that I upgraded to Windows 7.

 

*EDIT* I use a cracked version, not through Steam.. (Still worked before cracked)

Try disabling one firewall at a time, (windows, anti-virus, router) to realize what's the one causing you the problem (or disable them all for a bit to test, in case that there's more than 1 blocking)

But that's not "a continuous" problem. I know people who could play and then suddendly started having that problem.

 

p.s.: don't watch porn online while you disable all the firewalls

I have tried, now I am just checking all of my IPs & ports to make sure that they are all correct. I'm planning on restoring my Laptop again to try and fix it I don't know if it could of been the link I downloaded it from, could have been a bad link.

 

P.S. I'll watch all the damn porn I want with my firewall disabled

 

OH & Since I can't connect to any other servers you should all connect to mine
