A few months ago I was facing an IP conflict at my home internet. It wasn't a big problem, all I had to do is renew my IP address.

 

Now, the problem I'm facing, when I moved out and started living in a hostel with a bunch of my buddies, it seems that whenever I lost connection, I had to renew my IP address over and over again. This happens even with internet access displayed on my notification. While everyone else in the same room can use it normally.

 

Is there something wrong with my NIC?

If you think that is nothing wrong with your IP configurations , But to be sure make sure that these options are selected

Obtain an IP address automatically.

Obtain DNS server address automatically.

If these options are already selected then try updating your NIC driver it could be something wrong with it.
