im experiencing strange problem right now... i can't play on custom maps, like Oil Rig, Gulag etc. etc., always when im trying to hose one of those, OR trying to join to public server, im getting stuck like on 90% of loading, and then it gives me "DirectX encountered an unrecoverable error."

 

I really tried everything what i found, updating DirectX, redownloading stuff but nothing helped.

 

I also had some sort of create 2D texture error before, but i changed textures to automatic and it's good now (except this DX error of course).

 

Any help please?

Oil Rig, Gulag, etcetera require a good deal of RAM and processing power, make sure you have enough free RAM, or find a RAM free-er/increaser download online.

 

Also, make sure you have the .ff's and respective .iwd's for those maps.

Well, i was able to play them without problems on old AlterIW so i don't think this is really a problem. Not sure about iwd, but map loads almost to the end just before crashing, not sure really if DirectX error can have something to .ff files or .iwd's
