Since your VPS is running Windows Server 2008 you need to install the "Applications Server" role in your "Server Manager" menu.

 

That will install .NET framework (it will install .NET framework 3.5) and let you update it trough Windows Update.

As oppose to installing it manually as it might cause problems in a windows server machine.

 

Doing this might help you with those errors.
