i ran dsut.exe , forwarded the ports , did everything . then i started up the shortcut i made and it goes to " spawning server on map * random map * game type tdef " then it says " iw5m_server.exe has stopped working " . what did i do wrong ? i want to play bots and the only apparent way is to host your own dedicated server with a pass . ;_; someone please halp meee .

So basically it's not initializing. What's your server.cfg and your command line?

Also +set dedicated 2 although since it's default, don't think it'll matter.

my command line is exactly like that i think , but i will try the +set dedicated 2 .

Well, I tried all I know which isn't much but I know how ya feel.

 

This is what it should look like when it initializes.

You only need to specify "net_port" if you're running more than one server.

If your server isn't launching, then either the masterserver is down or the port that you're trying to use is already being used or blocked at some firewall.
