Today I get Server connect timed out errors almost all times I try to connect to a server from the list, only a minority of attempts succeeds. I've already tried deleting caches.xml, even rechecked steam cache files and redownloaded them, including the IW5M client afterwards, disabled my firewall completely, restarted the router, nothing helped. Any problems with the master server? On occasion when I tried to hit Play in the main menu I got an error Disconnected from Steam too.

Server was going up and down afaik.

That might happen with crappy routers, in wich although you disable the firewall on it's interface, the firewall doesn't actually disable.

Happens all the time on Thomson TG series routers, for example.

I have a TP-LinkTL-WR541G/TL-WR542G router, firewall on itself is disabled too, and up until yesterday all worked fine...

Then just restart the router.

Unplug it from the electricity for a few seconds
