Hey, i've been getting into custom mapping lately and i've seen alot of people getting into the new maps, while they were adventuring were i couldnt be stuffed (didn't have files :P) i was annoyed at getting killed when falling down the side of OilRig.

So i looked in the files took out the death barrier and added some spawns, this map is great! although it sometimes makes it unfair for other players (map levels uneven).

Do you mean the multiple levels of Oilrig ? If so this question was asked alot of times on the aIW forums, probably it will never be done and we will only have the top bit, there is however still this invisble wall somewhere at the middle of Oilrig that leads into this ''open'' space...

Yer it's ALL levels, and yer their is that invisible wall :/ i'll fix it up if this gets a decent amount of requests

That's ok. But can you still send me a PM on what you need and some basic info on how you do the porting and the spawns:) ? I always tought about porting a map but never got the info on how to do so.

Can't you just focus on other SP maps ?:o

:/ It's just a little mess around, and it won't hurt anyone.

I see why you want it small, but i never see servers with oilrig on anymore, maybe this will spark it up or encourage people to start modding

Their are spawns all over the map, this includes top level i reckon this map is designed for 24-32 players (need good server host :P) So people would be spawning up top, get them with preds, but its strategic, stay low so you don't get predator missiled or shot down by a heli and you have to make your way up if you want a care package :)

meh, I think that if maps are going to be made there needs to be someway to have the client download them so they can play on the same maps (Don't know if this is actually implemented yet or not) I guess that could then provide the backdoor for DLC maps ;)

I don't really care what maps are made as long as they look kinda nice and they're playable

I talked with Xetal about a "large HQ" gametype, where the HQs are located randomly on all floors, but he didn't like the idea.

That might actually be good, you would have to fix the dodgy spawns first.

Maybe block off a few areas and make more entrys and exits to other levels with care packages or maybe getting the stair models
