After i reinstalled my windows 7 i cannot play iw5m anymore ... when i start the game and want to join a dedicated server it's crashing ... idk why.

Do i need any program that isn't included when windows 7 is first installed ?

what are the programs you need for iw5m...

i can start the game and play private match and all but not on other peoples server ...

NOPE it didn't worked anytime before and after an installation

Just try installing the ususal - .net and directx

(someone will prolly come along and give you the exact prerequisites)

i installed all this ... but didn't work.

My lowest ping i had was 32 and it's the same as now.

Without DirectX installed, the game wouldn't even launch.

Do you get some kind of error message? If you say that "iw5m.dat stopped working", I assume you get it. Expand the error message by clicking the arrow pointing down, on the error window, and post here the content of that error message. Although it might not tell us much about the error, it might help somehow.

Note that a random crash like that on the serverlist or while trying to join a server can be caused by some firewall actively blocking the required ports. Try disabling your router's firewall, or the anti-virus firewall if you installed some of those annoying anti-virus software.

i mean ... it's the same windows 7 disk ... everything same ... the only thing i did was a partition ... can that be the problem ? idk and don't think so.

one of my pals said my iw5m.dat might is the problem ... but i deleted it and the problems still there.
