I found out about 4D1.net before like 5 minutes watching some videos on youtube.

And yeah, Sobe, looks like it took me quite some time.

After alteriw got terminated I went back to steam version where I got frustrated first by it's horrible matchmaking mechanism and then by immaturity of the players there. So, since most of people i used to play with didn't own the game I stopped playing mw2 online.

Yesterday I was trying to find a version of mw2 which could be just copied from machine to machine for a LAN we are throwing this month and trough some YT videos I stumbled upon this 4d1 thing.. When i read iw4m and iw5m I was so happy grinned like a child! So, yeah, here I am!

 

played iw4m online last night, works flawlessly and I've seen lots of straaaange but FUN mods

Donwloading dlc's for iw5m so I'll try that one also

BTW, still haven't tested iw4m for offline playing, hope I'll get some time today. Can anyone give me some pointers about running iw4m (no dedicated server) on a lan party without internet connection? alterIW had this config file to edit the master server and a little .exe to act like one locally on the network. This is much simpler now, right?
