Hey guys, need some help for setting up my server. Two questions so far.

 

1. First is i dont understand how to put the "iw5m_server.exe +set net_queryport 27015 +set net_port 27016 +set net_masterServerPort 27017 +set sv_config "server.cfg" +start_map_rotate" for the target properties. This is exactly what I have D:\Programs (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\call of duty modern warfare 3\iw5m_server.exe +set net_queryport 27015 +set net_port 27016 +set net_masterServerPort 27017 +set sv_config "server.cfg" +start_map_rotate I did it the way it told me and it said "The name 'D:\Programs' is specified in the target box is not valid. Make sure the path and file name are correct.

 

2. When i rand the dsut.exe it generated a bunch of files. One of them was the admiin folder, the only thing is though, their wasnt a server.cfg or default.dspl. All that was their was cod8.py and shrp.dsr

 

Does anyone hvae any ideas. any help would be apreciated.

About the shortcut, you have to include quotes, since the path has spaces.

"D:\Programs (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\a popular FPS series IW5\iw5m_server.exe" +set net_queryport 27015 +set net_port 27016 +set net_masterServerPort 27017 +set sv_config "server.cfg" +start_map_rotate

Plus, by default, the folder use to be called "Program Files (x86)", not "Programs (x86)"

I did exactly what yoou told me to put for the shortcut, but it still says the same thing. THis is what i put:

 

"D:\Programs Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\a popular FPS series IW5\iw5m_server.exe" +set net_queryport 27015 +set net_port 27016 +set net_masterServerPort 27017 +set sv_config "server.cfg" +start_map_rotate

Right click iw5m_server.exe and create a new shortcut. That shortcut will surely have the correct path in it.

Then just add the arguments

...\iw5m_server.exe" +set net_queryport 27015 +set net_port 27016 +set net_masterServerPort 27017 +set sv_config "server.cfg" +start_map_rotate
