so i recently set up a dedicated server for my friends, and all of them can play it with no lag and about 60-80 ping, but when one of my friends tries to play on my server, he says he is jumping around, and lagging a lot...but he only has about 100 ping...he said its not an fps issue, and he has not tested it on any other servers (cause hes lazy).

we have been using hamachi cause its annoying to portforward on my router, but im doing that right now

Edit: tried port forwarding, still couldnt use my normal ip

It's not like his ping is lying. The ping is the time that a packet takes to do the route between the client and the server. Happens that not all packets are taking the same time (breaks).

He should check the firewalls that he's running and disable them, one at a time, to see if that's a firewall causing the issue. Starting by the router's firewall.

But yeah, sometimes the ping lies. I was wondering why my ping shows so low and my lag is so high, until I made a trace route on my connection. Found out that it takes too long on the ISP proxy. Might be your friend's problem too, although I doubt that's it.
