Hi all,

When I try to change the resolution ingame, it gives me a black screen, then opens new iw4m windows until i terminate the process. I can never set my resolution because of this. I never had this error till i went into some server and it crashed my game....

 

it wont let me attach a url so ill just describe what it looks like. Basically im on windows 7 and on the start bar, it keeps opening new launchiw4m screens all black, which are diffrent sizes....

 

How do I fix this?

Browse to your game folder's "players" folder and open config_m2.cfg with notepad++ (any notepad editor will do, but notepad++ makes it easier to find what you need)

Search

seta r_fullscreen "1"

And change it to

seta r_fullscreen "0"

Save the changes and launch the game.

Those problems won't happen if you're not running the game in fullscreen.

Thanks but thats a temporary solution:/ I like playing in fullscreen haha. How can i fix this so i can again?

So I just tried the fullscreen thing and it didnt work:/ I even went in game and used the terminal to change the value. It keeps putting me in fullscreen anyway...

So I fixed it. What I did was get a config file from someone, and replace mine. Then I started the game, changed a few settings and restarted to see if it worked. After I Deleted the config file and started the game up, changed some more settings and it created a new config file for me.
