So iv never played this game before, but i have heard some good things so I'm downloading it as i type this. I watched some game play and i think it looks pretty cool. Anyone got any tips/advice for a new beginner of the series? Feel free to discuss anything about the game here as well.

Stalker games are nice, they are single-player experiences which take time and dedication. They offer an interesting and large open world.

There are various mechanics like realistic bullet drop, none of that BF3 shit. The game is extremely moddable and has a huge replayability potential. This also suggests that the community is large, dedicated and healthy at the moment. The setting is nice, it speaks to me on a personal level, because anything you see in the Stalker games - I've seen in real life.

 

Tips:

 

You hear sirens - you hide your ass in the nearest room/cave. Sirens mean you are probably going to die.

Dark caves = mutants, get ready to get scared and killed.

Warning: gun jamms if you treat it like mongol.

Dogs = they form packs.

When near other stalkers - hide gun, it will help you not get shot.

When told to get out - you get out of there, stalker.

Radiation is a bitch.
