Its a cheap CPU with an integrated GPU. The GPU in it is decent and will run almost any game today with medium-low settings.,

I recommend the A8-3870K for a slightly lower budget, or an A10-5800K is even better.

As mentioned previously, crossfire the on-chip GPU with an appropriate 6000 series card for pretty damn good performance.

Yeah, if you get an apu your best bet is to crossfire it. All you need to do is source a 6000 series card.

umm i think i saw a guide on it on Tom's Hardware... I could Spend Heavily on The APU and GPU(around 400$ sice i got ther rest arranged for less than 99$) What is the very best and latest that would be the one i would buy which could be crossfired with another gr8 graphics card..

APUs are inherently low-end, as ar the cards that will crossfire with them. If your budget if that high, you'll probably want to get an i5 or similar and a dedicated discrete video card (6850/6870 maybe?)

As far as APUs go... depends on your budget.

If you don't have the money for a discrete card (like a 7770 or something) then AMD's the better buy. You can overclock it, too. Intel's processors are... alright, but you're better off with AMD in that space because their stuff has a better GPU component.

If you do, however, it's best to go with an i3/Pentium G6xx/8xx/21xx and B75 motherboard; or if you want to overclock/want a better board, an FX-6300 (or 4300) and 970/990 motherboard. You'll need a better cooler for that setup, though.

Since this is for gaming, don't bother with the i5.

As a general rule, don't spend more on the CPU than you do on the video card; and don't spend more on the motherboard than you do on the CPU.

wat

The IB/SB i5s are great price/performance CPUs.

The "spend more on your graphics card than on your CPU" rule is plain bullshit, CPUs are harder to upgrade than graphics cards and it would be a better idea to think a bit about your future upgrades. And what if a motherboard with a higher price than my CPU has some options to offer that I need? Should I not buy it because of your stupid "do not spend more on your motherboard than on your CPU" rule?

Did I already mention that the i5 3570k uses less energy for the same performance (compared to the FX-8150) and thus would save you more money in the long run?

Hey hey i just found out that with the A8-3870K or A10-5800 The in built GPU can be paired with only ATI Radeon HD 6670 or lower... not higher so please can anyone give a benchamark or test result... please or is it better to not go with a APU and instead get a CPU(intel or AMD i am open) with a great graphics card... I want everything in a 450$ budget or less...

Any help would be appreciated. Tank You
