Hello fellow Deltas! I have read a bit about IW5M dedicated servers tutorial. But I find myself still a bit unsure of how to get a good server.

I hardly know what The difference is between a B3 server and a regular server  ? Can someone explain this to me.

And when I read [HMG] Arctix post on how to advertise their own server, I found the subjects [PC] or [sH] where it stood on the server host run / is on a private PC or a server hoster. I did not understand what was meant by this?

I'm sorry if there is already a topic on what the difference between a B3 server and a regular server is, but I could not find any.

Anyway, I am really grateful if I could get answers to these questions :D // Yahalom

Well, B3 gives you access to install plugins, have 'mods/admins' on your server, warn/permaban/ban/kick/etc. others, change the map in-game, etc.

Okay, So I can not even kick people from my server if I do not use B3. It feels as if the B3 is a must.

And I had thought and have infinite ammo modification, must probably have B3 then because obviously need it.

But what meant by this  Is the server hosted on a private pc or a server hoster?

RCON probably works too... And no, B3 isn't ment like that, you will need a script for that, which you can set up even without B3. Well, you can host a server at home on your PC, or you can host it on a dedi box.

If I am right, it will cost to set up a server on the dedi box to where it is online all the time? And if I have the server on my home computer so the server will be shut down if I would turn off my computer, right?

Both statments are correct. Though, you can find some pretty cheap hosters, which also set up B3 and everything for you.
