Okay so here's the deal. I have direct cable connection for internet, that means that I have a cable from my internet provider and I plug it in in my pc and I have internet, there are no configurations or routers.

 

Every time I host a server for games, and I tried for:

 

- Tekno MW3

- Killing Floor (legit version)

- D.I.P.R.I.P. (Steam)

- Black Ops

 

the server always turns out as LAN. So my problem is no matter how I configure the server it always hosts itself locally and not on the internet despite the server tools giving me the ability to host it as LAN or Internet. But no matter which option I choose it turns out LAN anyway.

 

I really don't know how to research this problem on google so I hope some of you guys will be able to help me.

Put your computer in a DMZ.

My firewall is disabled and I use KIS 2012 as a security measure.

Excuse me but what is DMZ and how can I use it?

You can't use it, because you have no routers, and it's "demilitarized zone".

No use, it creates itself locally. When I type /connect (my local address) it connects to it, and the server does not show up in the server list. I tried this in internlabs and also my legit BO with.

i had the same problem, getting a router fixed everything
