Well if u didnt hear it yet a few days aggo Halo 3 poped up at the steam database, hinting at a halo 3 PC release. While this doesnt mean that its comming out for sure neather has microsoft confirmed it yet. But i would really like to get it on pc even though its 6 years old.

Well Halo 2 was supposed to be a Vista exclussive, yet it turned out that it worked fine on XP and Win 7. So i dont see why microsoft wouldnt try to do that again.

This is another trick done by Micro$oft to manipulate the windows 7 users over to 8, same was with Vista (Halo2). At the end of the day win- win for M$.

They indeed did milk the hell out of 360, now its the PC's turn.

Well as long as they port it right I will play it .

I rely like the halo story but when they didn't announce halo 3 (which was kinda impressing to me at the time) i gave up on the series. Hope this is true and thank you op for the heads up .

Have you even played PAYDAY? It feels nothing like L4D, except for that charasteristic Source engine feeling. Honestly, I'm more hyped about new PAYDAY than Halo 3. I will play it, but I'd rather have new SW game, as Sith > Spartans (inb4 Werkot/Newamr)

Payday feels nothing like source engine to me... (jump ingame and you'll see what I mean)

The only similarity I could see is the player glow, which reminds me of CS:GO.

 

Payday's engine is real good though, I'm not saying it isn't.

Meh I'd rather see Halo: Reach for the PC. Way more fun IMO. Better Forge, great Firefight, improved theater mode, nore customization, nicer mechanics.

 

None of this would happen though. Halo 3 stat tracking was cut a while ago back when Bungie was busy handing over the franchise to 343i. One of the things they did was end stat tracking for Halo 3, and Halo Waypoint (halo.xbox.com) never picked up the job. They're still tracking stats for Halo: Reach, but that's only because 343i has direct dominion over it, unlike Halo 3.

 

And beyond the stat tracking, who's going to want to play Halo 3? Halo fans either settled for the IW5-in-space that is Halo 4 (which i abhor with a passion) or they're like me, they prefer Halo: Reach and, when there are servers up, they play Halo 1 on their PCs because it's the best multiplayer of the franchise.

Update: It looks like Halo isn't coming after all.

Support-strike-package style "ordnance drops", Domination (creatively called "Dominion" /sarcasm), weapon camos, even an available controller layout that's identical to cowadooty...utterly shameless imitation.

I don't see why would anyone copy CoD nowadays. It's the cancer devs should go as far as they can from.

 

And yeah, CoD has a huge playerbase, but it won't split because of Halo games. They should make something for the rest of the players that don't like CoD.
