Since I downloaded the new map ( Nuketown )

I am getting horrible frames drops. ( Even with Low resolution )

I had first 150-200 fps at Normal

and now I am getting lower then 60fps on low

So What can I do to get my fps backup?

I can confirm that issue too. I barely can get 100-120 fps, when before the update I could get +250 fps. I'm sure I'm using the same config as before and my hardware is not harmed in any way. Any suggestions to fix it?

Are you guys using nvidia optimus ?

I have the same problem and it is very annoying, and I checked and in other games i still have the same fps.

I don't have Nvidia Optimus, but i can confirm that the only game affected is IW4M and that problem happened since the last update was released.

I'm sorry for my lack of knowledge but... what is Windows Aero and what is suppose to do about it?

Configure Nvidia Optimus so it will use Nvidia card for iw4m.dat process.

Can I do this with ati card? cause I can play bf3 smooth in decent graphics but iw4m is laggy some times.

Apparently your idea worked. I created a shortcut for LaunchIW4M.exe, went to "Properties" and added "-d3d9" in "Destiny" field.

It's something like "C:\Users\w\Desktop\Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2\LaunchIW4M.exe" -d3d9

Just for curiosity (since I'm noob at several things), what is this d3d9 command about?

i will try -d3d9... new patch trying to use directx10 but this game is not designed for dx10. im thinking this will be fix...

 

extra for more fps ( for hyperthreaded core i5 and i7... specialy windows 7... because windows 7 is not fully support core parking feature )

 

park control software can disabling core park control feature. goal is no sluttering. no fps locks.

nvidia 313 beta driver can select nvidia gpu from "last used programs option"

 

else... old versions must select totaly gpu high performance nvidia.

I a have the german Windows 7, and i cant find the option for the parameters in the Properties, also in the shortcut...

1- Create a shortcut for your LaunchIW4M.exe;

2- In that shortcut, right-click and select Properties;

3- Select the "Shortcut" tab and in "Destiny" field you should add -d3d9. You must have something similar to

"C:\Users\w\Desktop\Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2\LaunchIW4M.exe" -d3d9

 

That should fix your problem, it worked with me.
