Hi,

 

I've search around about issues with demos in IW4M, and have tried a few solutions but I keep having a single issue so maybe some of you could help.

 

Most (9/10) demos I record always error out after a while with the error "Lost connection to host". The demo's filesize matches the same size as the full extent of the demo as it was recording.

 

I've read somewhere that the issue might be caused by playing on un-updated servers, and to disable "Legacy Servers" in the search filter so I only get updated servers in my list.

 

I've done so and the issue still persists.

 

Its very random and I don't understand why it happens because I've had one or two demos record fine and they were well over 10 minutes long, however some barely last 3 mins without erroring out.

 

Does anyone have any insight to this issue?

Did you use a harrier strike?

In some of the games, yes, however the demo errors out way before I ever call it in.

 

Some of them error out after three minutes or so even though a harrier wasn't acquired until maybe 8 or 9 minutes into the match.

So from what I read, any killstreak that triggers the location select UI will cause an error in the demo?

 

Also, how do I go about making the necessary changes? Can the files be edited with a standard text editor?

 

EDIT: Also may I ask where _airstrikes.gsc is located?

 

I navigated and searched around and I assume it would be in "C:\Users\XXX\AppData\Local\IW4M\m2demo\maps\mp\killstreaks" but I only have _ac130.gsc and _killstreaks.gsc

 

EDIT 2: Well you seem to have pinpointed the issue. Checked my latest demo and the does indeed crash as soon as I attempt to pull out the laptop to all in the harrier. However as I said above, I'm not sure how or where to make changes as I can't find the file.
