I heard the dedicated servers can be used to host games.

The stats/rules can be changed,right?

 

So do I ONLY play with people from here(IW5) or am I playing with all the other steam/legit users?

Is this separated like Xbox and PS3 are?

IW4M and IW5M have nothing to do with steam.

Yes, you can host your own servers and change rules as you like.

Usually there are enough players online to find at least couple of full servers.

So this is a new online server?Is that all?

Actually, no. It's not 'just another server' as we support free DLC, mods, etc. No, there is no matchmaking. Yes, we do not accept cheaters here, that's why we have our own anti-cheat.

So I can play by "regular rules" so to speak.

As long as I choose the correct server with the desired rules implemented.

My stats travel form server to server correct.

 

Without matchmaking how do games get set up?I just join a server and the game begins?

Depends, rules may vary from server to server. Have you really never played on a server before ? Yes, you just connect to a server and you're able to play. Note, everyone can have his server. Yes, your stats are saved on our np-server.

I did back in like 08,then my PC could not run any games.

I used my PS3.

 

Now with a new PC I can play again

 

So any servers with all the regular rules intact?

I know most will have something like no RPG,last stand,but wasn't sure if anyone plays with default rules.
