Never tried a server before and I went ahead made one with the tutorial on the mainpage. I I am having few issues and I cannot find answers to them in other threads.

 

1. My server does not appear on the server list. I can see it in Defuse list. Others are however able to see it.

 

2. How do I become admin of my own server :oops: ?

 

3. I tried installing b3 but it is freaking me out. I followed the tutorial on b3 website and it seems helped not entirely. This is what I get when I run b3:

 

Starting *********** (b3) v1.9.0 [nt] [PoisonIvy] [Win32 standalone]

 

Using config file: b3.xml

checking for updates...

latest B3 stable version is 1.9.0

...no update available.

Using external plugin directory: C:\BigBrotherBot\extplugins

Connecting to DB : OK

Using Gamelog : C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Modern Warfare 2\main\games

_mp.log

Testing RCON : OK

Loading Events : 34 events loaded

Loading Plugins : 220

Press the [ENTER] key

 

After that it exits and none of b3 commands work like !iamgod or !register. I dont see any b3 message on my server either.

 

What really confuses me is these parameters:

 

????? -----> I am using 192.168.1.2:28961 to connect to my server. 28960 doesn't work

????? ----->how do I find it. I cannot see external ip by launching server. It was different with MW3 (which also never worked for me :fail)

192.168.1.2----->I guess, this should be right?

 

By the way, I am using windows 7 64bit. I really appreciate your help guys/gals. Just remember I am a total noob for this kind of stuff.

When the command prompt opens type "ipconfig" Without the ".

Ipv6 adress is external IP.

 

If it still doesn't work, google "What's my IP"

1. You can't see your server in the list if it's running on the same pc you're playing.

2. If you have b3, join the server and type !iamgod to chat

Ipv6 IPv4 address is external internal IP.

You can use your internal IP, if b3 is running on the same machine as the server.

Loading Plugins : 220 ....check your plug ins are correctly configured u can often get the 220 when they are not

I am using the same PC to launch the server. One more question, should I copy my MW2 server to another drive for launching the server? Currently, I am using the same directory.

Your IP is dynamic. You need a stative one to run servers.

i might be wrong but think u can use this sort of site to solve your ip problem http://www.noip.com/
