I am attempting to run a server for IW5M. I followed the instructions for running it. I have a cracked version of IW5M, but it said I could use the hldsupdatetool.exe instead. It crashes saying: [scriptLoader] Loading script GameLog v1.1.0.29

Please let me know if there is anything I can do to fix this.

I ran the hlds tool from the root, then ran the one it added to my valve folder.

Everything got updated properly, so I ran the dsut.exe

everything updated properly from there.

I created the shortcut with appropriate changes to the target line and launched it.

Did you delete caches.xml and run LaunchIW5M.exe ? And try this

Move your whole game folder somewhere (out of Program Files at least), right click on the folder, properties, un-check read only and run LaunchIW5M.exe as an admin.

i have same problem, i run dsut.exe several times, but still is crashed at startup. my server files is not touched, last time i trun servers is 20 days ago. what can i do?

It's getting stuck while attempting to open the required ports.

Make sure that those ports are forwarded and unblocked on any anti-virus firewall.

You might also have to reset windows sockets.

I ran dsut.exe several times, and it still crashes on that line in console. My game is intact, and the server is too, it just crashes on the previously mentioned command line.
