So my problem is when I join a friend's private i cannot download any mod. For instance, it "starts" downloading at 0 kb/s and it just stays that way until i disconnect. Are there any specific commands needed other than sv_Allowdownload 1?

If you want to play a mod on a private match with a friend, make sure both clients have the mod already downloaded and in the same folder as the other friend, or put the mods iwd in your m2demo folder.
