Help with the in-game console.

Опубликовано:

Hey,

my first post,

I really need someone with a good knowledge for this, i wanted to know if there is any guides for the in-game console, i couldn't find any useful one, i want to know:

- how to bind keys (especially numpad keys)

- how to use the /connect command properly (i tried but i cant get it to work)

i am "noob" with the whole modding and console thing in mw2, so i don't have much knowledge

but I'd like to.

I also wanted to know if there is a way to save "favorite" servers, i found in the console 'servers' numbered from 1 to 16 and I don't know what are they for, so i thought maybe they are for storing server IP addresses.

Generally, i want to understand the commands and the syntax of the console.

Thanks.

/bind

and /connect

what else do you need?

yeah thanks, but i know that already, have you read the whole post?

for example:

-i want to know how to bind numpad keys.

-"/connect" does not work, it says "unable to connect".

-what are the "server" commands (or what they are called) used for ? and if there is a way to save servers ip with the console to be connected to easily.

-and, if possible, general help with the console, like a guide or some tutorial, to understand the basic commands and its syntax.

-"/connect" does not work, it says "unable to connect".

so it does work, you are just.. well.. unable to connect, are you sure the ip you are connecting to is the right one?

yeah i tried more than one server...

i wanted to make sure this is only what i have to do (i.e /connect )

and nothing more, cause it never worked for me.

/com_maxfps 125 is another good one

I don't know if that's exactly right, but it works

You can also just try typing the command you want to see if it exists and then learn how to use it by testing

Most CoD4 commands should work, but don't quote me on that

a quite google search should work, too

and /bind numpad1 command

I think that's the numpad, not sure

and don't forget the port! D:

about that, yeah I know some commands but you can't really just try them everytime

and I, as I said, I don't know CoD4 commands

and I, as I said, I don't know CoD4 commands

Google, derp

well, if they do really work...

i will try, a good idea anyway.

EDIT: you can type "/cmdlist" and it will list all the commands, though that doesn't mean u will know how to use them.
