I really didn't like mw2 for several reasons, but the biggest of all was iw net. I came back every once in a while when I missed the maps afghan, or terminal, but other than that, black ops has been great, and I've been playing it a lot, even now.

 

On a whim, I did a search this morning to see if there were any mods, or if someone had come up w/a way to play dedicated servers on mw2, and found aiw... And that I had totally missed the friggin boat...

 

I would've been able to put up w/the horrible maps, noob tubing, commando sprinters, etc, if there was a chance to play on dedicated servers. For some reason I just get the urge to play, and I totally regret not searching earlier!

 

Anyway... Sorry for rambling, but, I will definitely be paying more attention for the future release of this project. Thanks for everything, and working on this!

As far as I understood you have MW2 legit on steam, if that is true, you haven't really missed the boat

NTA will create a version like the old aIW for people that own the legit version.

I really like that its headed in this direction, & only supporting legit copies, too....

 

Makes me feel better about falling into their trap, & lessens any guilt knowing some people might be playing on pirated stuff.

 

Also, I hope its not against the rules to mention it, but, the copy sites seem a little shady... Like I'm gonna get a virus or something, downloading any of their stuff. I'll just wait patiently for this version.
