Python is very good for simple scripting and note:simpleGUI programming (I recommend PySide if you want to make GUIs with Python). It is very easy (if not the easiest and funnest :D) to learn and write and it has tons of modules preinstalled for nearly every protocol, and if there isn't a module preinstalled that has the functionality you want, theres tons of em in the internet. For hacking and cracking, well memory editing and DLL injection is not nearly as simple as in C/C++/C#, but there is some modules for download that have functions for that. It's a very powerful language that can be used for lots of different purposes.

Also, if you hate curly braces, Python is nearly curly brace free, except for dictionaries! (в•ЇВ°в–ЎВ°пј‰в•Їпёµ { }

I wonder what these things are, baby pythons?
I'm not a PETA member or anything, but I don't think making things with a python is ok, you will probably kill the python..
