While the latest revisions have patched the issues with private matches (RSE mod games in particular) crashing during games, I have taken note that private matches can only be played once. Disconnecting after completing one game and attempting to start another (or restarting/loading a new map via command console) causes the game to completely crash. This is a sample crash dump report resulting from one such incident.

I just wanted to bring this to the attention of any players seeking to play in private matches with RSE-family mods or otherwise, as well as call this to the attention of the Dev Team. Gracias.

Are you talking about how the game ends you are sent back to the private menu, then the preview image is the teal and brown checkerboard?

 

If so just reselect the map, or use the command /ui mapname (Maps name here: Example mp_favela) and then start it back up.

I've not had any problems with playing in private match on r103

I've started with and without mods and playing more than one game at a time hasn't been an issue for me

Anyways, I have never had trouble yet, the only trouble is with mods and I just did what I stated earlier, no problems...

I'm going to re-install my client. It just might be a problem with my installation although, after all this time, I find it strange that it would suddenly stop working on me. Nonetheless, I'll perform a re-install and report back my findings.

Figured out the problem. It's not with privmatches/RSE as I feared.

 

It's actually a problem with my MW3 Weapon System mod. The game apparently can't load all those modified weapon files multiple times and crashes after one game played. I'll have to talk to NTA about possible solutions, since he's obviously figured out how to stabilize the game while loading custom weapon files (the patched M1887s, the M40A3, and the W1200)

Well I removed the custom weapon files from my m2demo/weapons/mp folder and tried to play another RSE match. It played completely fine. When I put the custom weapons back in, it let me play a full game and then crashed when I tried to start another just like before.

 

Other people's crashing issues are probably of a different origin.
