Firstly, I'd like to welcome you to the team. In this post you'll learn almost everything you need to know regarding your moderation tasks. Secondly, I'd like you to remind you you represent FourDeltaOne as a whole, so your behavior determines the concept people has on us.

 

With that said, let's get onto the tasks:

1. Translate the forum rules topic that can be found over here.
   
2. Enforce the rules by warning and/or banning members.
   • It is very important to explain the reason of the warning:
     • Edit the user's post and add on red the rules it was infringing, with a brief explanation (e.g. Disrespecting users is not allowed).
       
     • Write "warned" on the "Reason for editing the post" box, and lock the post so that the original poster can't edit it again (not the topic, but the specific post).

[*]Ban the users that repeatedly infringes the forum rules. If you're not sure if a specific action deserves a ban, or the length of the ban, do not hesitate to contact me.

[*]Lock topics that have been solved properly, and link people with the same question to that locked topic.

[*]If there's a spam topic or a topic that shouldn't exist, you have the recycle bin ($RECYCLE.BIN) forum at your disposal. Do not delete topics. Instead, move them to that forum.

[*]Try to keep the forum as tidy and organized as possible. Sticky topics that are subject of general interest, and lock/delete the ones that deserve it, as explained above.

 

It is also important that you have the following things in mind:

1. As I said before, you represent the entire team.
   
2. Maturity is a must. Insulting newcomers and/or people with little to no knowledge will not be tolerated. Treat all users politely.
   
3. You must be as explanatory as possible when solving doubts. If you don't know anything about specific problems, contact the tech support team.
   
4. I require you to be active enough in your zone. If you don't have time enough to moderate properly or simply can't handle the amount of posts, contact me and we'll sort it out.
