Hello i was playing search and destroy and someone sent me an email so i alt tabbed to check it because i was dead my regular resolution is 1280x768 and that takes my whole screen when i went back to the game the game wasnt fullscreen and it doesnt go fullscreen i tried r_fullscreen 0 and 1 and both doesnt go fullscreen i need to have a bigger resolution for it to go fullscreen 1366x768 and that makes my game lag because my graphics card isnt that good its a 210 geforce please help

Go to your /players/ folder and delete config_m2.cfg and config_mp.cfg . Then start the game and adjust your settings again.

where did you try r_fullscreen 1? in-game? or added it to a IW4M.exe shortcut?

Yeah you can, nut for him its just easier to delete it. Its probably corrupted.

nono, he means that its Fullscreen but doesnt take up all of the screen. Just delete your config.

You could also try changing the refresh rate settings, or try auto adjust on your monitor. How to do this varies on pretty much every monitor though.

Why my brightness is locked? I use fullscreen mode and can't change it in game menu or with r_gamma command. Why is that?

Again, probably a corrupt config. Delete config_m2.cfg and it should work/be unlocked.

As far as I know you can't tweak r_gamma on 4D1

 

And as for the topic starter try r_fullscreen 1; vid_restart

Has this fixed your problem?

press the AUTO button on your monitor, it will auto configure so the resolution will fit

You also might have pressed ALT + ENTER and this has moved your game away from the upper left corner ?!

vid_xpos 0; vid_ypos 0; vid_restart; might fix that.
