I am wondering if there is some way to see what caused my computer(win7 x64) to just shut down....

i was playing skyrim for about 4 hours, and it just turned off...

my guess is it could be either caused by heat or my psu...

anyway, does any one know how to find a log or something?

 

edit: my psu is 450, which is the minimum to power my gpu

it either got to hot or the pc took more power than the psu could give

Yea, probably heat, and your computer shut itself off to prevent it from getting damaged (parts, windows files, etc.).

 

There are people who've streamed 17 hours before though, so I don't know. They probably have liquid cooling systems and better CPUs.

 

It could be that your computer used too much of your power than your house/power line could take, and shut it off to prevent an electrical blowout.

you guys are probably right about the heat.....

 

its been about 80*F in my house.......should have thought about that lol...

Just trow some water on it, if it gets too hot ...
