hey guys

when i want to start the game i get this error

i tried to download clean mss32.dll i still get the error

i installed directX again

pls do you guys have a solution

nono, its in the common errors topic. RE download that mss32.dll and place it WHERE IT SAYS

Might be a manual thing... You will have to change your game language to english, and then post a screenshot of the error IN ENGLISH. (Or just translate it for us)

Does it say anything about sound? And is it Couldnt locate access point in line XXXX or something?

Maybe. But I need this to be translated. Did you download that new localization.txt from the big stickied Common Errors thread in #10? Thats what gives you the error in english.

Won't help a bit as the game scans it's own directory first.

Delete any mss32.dll in C:\Windows\System32, or C:\Windows\SysWOW64

AND delete the mss32.dll in your 4D1 folder or steam folder.

 

Copy: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/11109793/mss32.dll to your 4D1 and steam install (if you have one).

And yes, obviously he didn't use the correct version, or did not put it in the right place. :roll:

i placed it in C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Modern Warfare 2 and to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam

still get the same error

it says directsound but i have directX installed ofcourse
