Ok i am moving and also upgrading my internet my current speeds are 5mb down .5 up,and i have noticed that i get a lot more lag deaths when there is 12 or more players in a lobby, and i can even notice some lag with 8 players.

Now the new internet i will be getting is with a different provider and it is a 8mb down 1.5 up

I would like to know just how noticeable it will be in online gaming.

It depends, your UL speed should be at LEAST 2mbps, and your DL speed around 10mbps, but what REALLY matters is your ping.

My d/l speed is 1mb/s and up is 512kbps. Never had any lag and ping remains constant at 48ms, and this is in 12 player lobbies.

Well on my current internet i will pick a server that says on the server i have a ping of between 15-30,but when i get in game my ping is 50-60.

Also i would get better but 8mb down 1.5 up is the best the town i am moving to has to offer, cause it is a small town(pop. 15k).

And i don't have much other option of places to move right now, cause i am moving in with a friend because my grandpa(who i have been living with is selling his house),and i am not making enough yet at my job to get my own place.

Same as me, I didn't have any problems with lag at al. And my ping is always low to.
