Ok, temporary fix then... just extract libnp.dll to your game folder

p.s.: run ccleaner every once in a while to clean your browsing cache

sir, can you upload again the said file? i think the file is corrupt, cannot be extracted. tnx

(yeah i always use ccleaner, but still at no avail)

That would be another caches.xml problem... its trying to download it again cause it doesnt think you have the right files...

As I posted above, its his Local/ISP cache problem.

yohanz: not sure if you are aware of that, but I posted two links.

well this is the only mp dedi server that i have encountered such problem. the first time i installed this iw4m, it doesnt have any error while autoupdating, only just yesterday.

maybe i'll gonna stick with teknogods for now. if the issue is all about my isp cache, ill gonna try autoupdating it again by next week and see if it works.

anyway, tnx a lot. :)

uhm, you should be able to make copy of iw4m.dat, name it iw4m.exe and use it to bypass the updating procedure.

Right, but we dont know if the updater downloaded all the files EXCEPT for libnp.dll, cause afaik after freshly installing it libnp.dll is about the 3rd thing it downloads before everything else.

In the meanwhile, clean your system cache (and that includes .cpart files that might be found on your mw2 folder or %localappdata%\iw5m folder)

Otherwise you might have the same problems on the next update.

I advice you to use Ccleaner (run it with all your web browsers closed)

Anyway, the point is that he didn't fix his problem. He just bypassed the problem. So, he should keep trying to find what caused the problem, to make sure that he won't have it again in future updates.
