Greetings, forum for FourDeltaOne, this is my first post. I've been using 4D1 from today, and I like it a lot - great job, but I find one thing annoying, which did not happen to me while I was using alterIWnet.

The problem is that sometimes, when I try to join a server, the loading bar fills up as normal, but "Setting up game..." (variable number of dots) stays for a long, long time. This does not happen of and specific servers, and sometimes it does not happen for servers I know it happened on.

Can anyone shed some light on this, please?

Do you join servers with the singleplayer-/ custom maps? These maps are loading longer than the other ones.

Welcome to 4d1. First of small it's not a big problem. I face it a lot. Just open the console by pressing the key below the escape button and type /disconnect and connect again. And do read the forum rules okay. You're not breaking any but make sure you don't. And go through the iw4m common problems thread.

Thanks. I know that the tilde opens the console, but I've only used the other console (the separate window) before, I'll check this out, though. I read through the common problems, but I found nothing that was related to my problem, sorry if I haven't looked properly.

On-topic: the /disconnect technique always works for me. Hope it works for you.

I have a similar problem but its synchronizing game settings forever and only on specific servers. Does anyone know of a fix?
