I placed IW4M.exe and the dll and libnp.dll in the root of MW2 Folder

then i placed raw.iwd in main folder.

 

When i try to start the game by IW4M.exe and once i login i get

an error that says the following:

 

Could not reach the alterIW.net server. Error code from CURL: 7.

 

I don't have any alteriw files in my MW2 folder. And all the files

are from steam, and yes i have the game on my steam account.

with no vac ban on.

 

Help.

Yes downloaded just a half hour ago.

i deleted it once alteriw was closed, not its fully fresh.

I had the same Message cause I took the iw4m.dll from the alteriwnet folder. Take it from here: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2040 and it should work.
