Actually cryengine can do more then unity (free), I have been using both for a while now and unity requires you to upgrade to pro before you can do a number of things. Cryengine is better then unity but it is also harder to use.

 

When it comes to importing models unity is better because you can simply use the fbx file. With CryEngine you have to make sure all your vertices line up other wise you end up with a error like this:

 

 

But when it comes to graphics and scripting CryEngine takes the cake.
