So, I understand that it's a problem with my video card and stuff but how to fix it? I get 20 FPS on EVERY map in MW2+MW3, there's no "dual video cards" in Options, my optimal settings are max. (My laptop isn't 15 years old..)

You wouldn't be able to use the 'dual video card' option if you don't have.....dual video cards anyway, which laptops don't.

I recommend turning off AA, setting everything to 'No' and using a custom texture setting.

On my old PC I'd use these settings:

Another thing: his PC recognizes both cards, it's just that MW2 & 3 like to use the more shitty one as a primary ._. trying to make the HD one work through the IRC atm ;p

^ I'M ON A LAPTOP ._.

Tried lowering settings, went from 20 to 25 FPS

Side note, I tried disabling the Intel HD Graphics 4000 one, and it lowered the performance of my computer by a lot.

All drivers are up to date.

So wait, what GPU and CPU does your laptop have?

Nvidia GeForce GT 640M (2gb vram) -- good one

That's a very good CPU and the GPU is average. It should be able to run MW2. As previously said, what are your GPU/CPU temperatures as idle and under load?

Ahhh, i know whats your problem, i got it too (Nvidia 540m and i5-2410m) :D

You need to set in the NVIDIA-Settings (rightclick on the desktop->nvidiasettings) and then on the panel "3D-Settings" (in german its "3D-Einstellungen verwalten"), then you must select Programsettings, choose the iw4m-exe and set its default-gpu to nvidia gt640m!

I'll add some screenshots, if you doesn't find it :)

edit: You can check, whether your Main-GPU is used or not by using MSI Afterburner Overlay (there "GPU-Usage")
