Basically what happens is that when I pick a server, no matter what the ping BEFORE joining was (for example, I jusr returned from one which supposedly had a ping of 72) whenever I join my ping skyrockets. I live in Mexico, so that might have something to do with it. MW2 is literally the only game in which this happens, is there a fix or am I screwed?

 

Oh, also, does anyone know of any good NON HC servers? I'm sick of HC

The obvious first; Make sure you're not downloading anything while you're playing.

 

For those NON HC-servers; you can always create one yourself

I did check all the pcs in my house, none of them is downloading anything (I even double checked steam) and we are not using netflix either
