So the problem is that the value of sv_maxclients is set to 10. It says the default number is 18 but domain is from 1 to 10 and because of this my friends can't join me, only 9 more bots can be added with the bots mod. I faced this problem after using the fps boost config. I looked for the post but couldn't find it. I'll post the config changes when i run my laptop as i've saved those setting in my laptop. But if there's anyway i can change the domain then please tell me. Also thank you in advance.

No it's just a problem with my client. I don't host any server. It's just a problem with the private match. Everything was alright before using the fps boost configs. They are just some setting to increase the fps. My fps did increase but now i can't play with bots.10 bots are really too less for me.

Then delete that config that messed up (config_m2.cfg in "players" folder).

Deleting config_m2 wont make any difference as i must use the fps boost config to play the game properly. Then again it'll comes back 10. Changing the value through the config file didn't make any difference last time. I'll try it again and tell whether it worked or not.( we have to make the file read only after changing the values?)

Hm, paste your config here thn, you might've something double/screwed up.

Changing the config file to be read only and changing the value of maxclients solved the problem. There was another command (ui_maxclients) and i changed that to 18 and now its working. Topic can be locked now.
