My friend has this error, when he wrotes his password and nickname on the launcher, the launcher says "You cannot login without a password". He already created a file named IW5M with the nickname and password but he gets the same error. Any help is very appreciated.

Is the file named IW5M.ini and NOT IW5M.txt ?

use IW5M.ini rather than just IW5M.

It won't work if you don't put it in 2 lines like this.

And yes, the name has to be "iw5m", and the extension ".ini" (iw5m.ini)

My roommate has this same problem. My game works fine ,but when i set it up for him on his computer it just keeps giving us the cannot log in without password error. I made the iw5m.ini and put his username and password in perfectly,but it still pops up. :?

He has all the original files. I downloaded everything for him and set it up, just like i did for my own game. I have done everything i can think of,my last resort is im gonna have him make another account on here and see if the credentials of that account will work. In the meantime though Id love to figure out why it wont work. :?

maybe he changed his name? if you change your name you need to change it in the .ini too

Nah hes only been on here once so theres no way he changed it. Im gonna have him make a new one try it out and get back to yal. Hope it works.

 

EDIT: Nope i made him a new account with new username and password. Still have the damn Oshinoba or whatever (You cannot log in without a password) Error. Iv tried deleting the iw5m.ini and cashes to see if the game would update,but still get the error. :? WTF i havent seen anyone with this problem after they used the iw5m.ini fix.
