If you are using a D-Link brand router, I think that you're experiencing the same problem. The problem is that the router restarts when you try to connect via the Server menu.

 

But when I connected my computer straight to the modem, it works. So I guess it is a router issue. Yep, tried it myself.

 

Hope this helps the people that are experiencing the same thing. Haven't found any solutions, though...

 

PS: If you're using a D-Link router and can connect to the server menu without any problem, can you at least post what you did to make it work. Thanks!

I had the same problem...but with BF3. I just gave it an IP and a DNS instead of asking it to automatically select. It seems to have worked.

Gave it an IP and DNS? What do you mean?

 

I tried using the router both via wireless and cable, still the router restarts. Also tried putting the connecting ip to in the DMZ. Maybe I forgot to open some ports?
