Admins and Mods instead of locking threads without a possible solution....please lock threads when you find a possible solution.Locking a thread Kills the topic, So please dont lock before a perfect solution is not found. This problem is found in a major amount of players. So i request NAT and other developers to Find a possible solution. Also i found this Problem is occurring mostly in Windows 7 64 bit editions and some where concerned with "The Ordinal 345 could not be located in the dynamic link library COMCTL32.dll"

Hope Admins Finds a possible solution asap.

Thankyou

That is to prevent spamming. Like, if this thread isn't locked, people will say "I HAVE THE PROBELM TOO!!1" and that makes us harder to concentrate on other player's problems, which indeed are solvable.

Well, its only found in a fraction of players, you don't know since this fraction is the only group raising its voice. Anyways, the Developers try their best.

Also, Its NTA* not NAT and there are no "other developers" so give the guy a break, he isn't a robot, he tries his best, and you should try to co-operate as well without spamming the boards with the same question.

What if I tell you that the problem is on your computer and not with the client? What if I tell you that you probably don't have hardware to run a x64 version of windows 7 stable for more than some 6 months and you need to keep reinstalling it each 6 months or so?

Did you see any file called COMCTL32.dll on your IW5M folder? Well, I see it in %windir%\system32. It's a nice 619KB dll. You know what that means? It's means that dll is part of your operating system. If you're getting an error about that dll, then your registry is probably too damm messed up.

So, someone should lock your topics and wait for you to reinstall windows.

^aka complain with your computer and what you do with it before complaining with anyone here.

@OP: try a lower ping server if you have some available.

Also check your firewall. Maybe your traffic is being blocked by your router's firewall. If possible, disable your router's firewall and enable DMZ on your computer's local IP.

Router firewalls are annoying and never block what you need them to.

Nice explanation dude...but let me tell you Mine is HP dv7 series laptop with came with inbuilt Windows 7 64 bit...and about comctl32.dll i know where it resides...apart from sys32 it resides in syswow64 folder.Yeah may be you are correct that my comctl32 may be corrupted or registry is damaged.i dual boot my system now with 32 and 64 bit and now the game runs fine in 32bit.Thnx for the head up,but what abt others who are suffering from the same problem.

I already had here some 3 or 4 dv7 to format because of errors like that. All with w7x64 pre-installed.

And let me give you a warning... one of them had problems with the graphic card. Some bit of soldering was damaged, according to the repair report. Some 2 weeks after being repaired, the graphic card broke again and that was it for that computer. It was overheating too much and it broke the graphic card solderings. So, my advice to you is that if you have a dv7, get some cooler to sit the laptop on while gaming. That's not the first dv7 that I see going to garbage because of graphic card solderings damaged. Seems that newer series HP laptops heat like hell...

Get a cooler platform and reinstall windows. You'll give that computer a new life.

I have the exact same problem.. I am sure my registry is fine, my nat type in open, and the firewall exceptions have all been made. I can also see all the servers on the list. But when i connect to any server it just says connecting.. and then an error msg pops up saying 'server connection timed out'.

Im running windows 7 32bit. If you know what the problem is, please let me know, thanks.
